Jan Evett hails from Nashville and moved to Florida in 1984 when her husband, Jerry, was stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City. In 1989, she began a real estate career, actively participating in the local association as RPAC Chair for two terms.
After her husband passed away in 1997, she built a successful real estate career as a single mom raising three children. She says, “I became a survivor and built a career on core values — fearlessness, resilience, and empowerment.”
In 2014, Jan moved back home to Nashville where she reconnected with many high school and college friends. She is an alum of The University of Tennessee. Jan enjoyed making new friends in the Nashville Kappa Delta alumnae chapter, chartering Stephens Valley, a new local church, and serving the community as a Cheekwood docent. In 2021, Jan returned to Florida real estate to work with her daughter, Candi Evett Miles. Jan also enjoys spending time with her new grandson, Maverick.
Joining Compass FL has been invigorating for Jan. She is committed to learning to implement cutting-edge technology to navigate new developments in the market. “Education is a lifelong process,” she says.
Jan also volunteers with the Bay County and Panama City Beach Chambers of Commerce and is actively involved with The Women’s Council of REALTORS® Central Panhandle chapter serving as President-Elect 2023.
